evening snow

we finally had our first snowfall in edmonton last night and, though i know i'll be cursing it by february, it's always so beautiful the first time around. as i woke up this remembrance day morning and looked outside i was reminded of the title of one of my favorite david adams richards books, 'evening snow will bring such peace'. that sentiment seems so very fitting on this of all mornings.
